
Final Draft with Saffia Sage

Final Draft is the industry standard screenwriting package for film and television and is used over 95% of productions.
This training course will introduce you to the both the software and the industry standards for formatting and amending scripts. The hands-on training will be delivered online using Final Draft.

Who is this for?
This course is aimed at experienced film and television practitioners working in the Script Editing and Production departments.
Tutor:
Saffia Sage is a Script Editor and Assistant Producer with experience of making high-end TV drama programmes such as Screw, Elizabeth is Missing and The Rig. Collectively, these productions have gathered awards and nominations including RTS Scotland Best Writer, BAFTA Scotland Best Scripted Television Programme, RTS UK Best Single Drama, and an International Emmy.
Eligibility:
This session is specifically for established film and television practitioners based in Scotland. Please only apply if you meet this criteria. BECTU opportunities for those in other areas of the UK can be found here: England, Wales.
> Applicants should be based and working freelance in film and television in Scotland.
> Students are not eligible for this training.
Selection:
> As this is a workshop style course, there are a limited number of spaces available to allow participants the opportunity to interact and ask questions
> Priority for spaces will be given to eligible BECTU members
> If more BECTU members apply than spaces available, places will be given to those who demonstrate the greatest professional need for this training
