Terms & Conditions
If you have any access requirements or any additional needs that will require assistance, please inform us of this at the point of confirming your place. Any requests must be made to us at least one week before the event to ensure we are able to meet your requirements in full.
Cancellation
Places on our courses are free of charge but cost on average £340 per person. If for any reason you cannot attend, please let us know as soon as possible. BECTU Vision reserves the right to cancel or reschedule the course any time. If, for any reason, BECTU Vision cancels or postpones the training course, we will not be responsible for any travel, accommodation or other costs incurred by the participant as a direct or indirect result of cancellation or re-scheduling by BECTU Vision.
Catering
Refreshments and lunch will be provided only if specified on the course publicity. If catering is to be provided, participants should inform us of any special dietary requirements at the point of confirming their place on the course.
Course Content
Whilst BECTU Vision will endeavour to deliver the content detailed in the course outline in full, we reserve the right to reduce content or add new content as deemed necessary. External trainers are responsible for the content of their respective sessions. The opinions expressed by the trainers/speakers do not necessarily represent the views of BECTU Vision, BECTU or Prospect.
Copyright
All course materials, including hand-outs and power-point slides, will remain the intellectual property of BECTU Vision (or sub-contractors where appropriate) and any duplication, distribution (electronic or otherwise) or reuse is strictly prohibited.
Data Protection
We will treat any personal information we collect at the point of application, confirmation, registration and evaluation in accordance with data protection legislation and details of our privacy policy can be found here.
Liability
BECTU Vision will not accept responsibility, beyond that imposed by law, for any loss or damage to personal property or any personal injury suffered by anyone attending or connected with the training course.
Photography
We will take photographs at the training course to use in promotional materials, on the BECTU Vision and funders websites and on social media channels. If you would prefer not to be included in these photos, please let the BECTU Vision representative know on the day.
Travel Expenses
If travel costs are a barrier to attending an event, we can cover reasonable expenses if arranged prior to the course starting. We are unable to cover travel expenses for course participants unless otherwise explicitly stated in the course publicity and confirmed in writing.
BECTU Vision reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time, so please check terms each time you book an event.
