At BECTU Vision, building professional networks is just as important as building on-screen careers. That’s why we regularly host a range of socials (often department- specific). They are relaxed, friendly events designed to help screen practitioners to learn, meet, connect, and grow their industry relationships.
In October, we brought together professionals from the Hair & Make-Up, Costume, Camera, Sound, Production, Locations, and Assistant Director departments. Alongside seasoned crew members, we also welcomed participants from our Early Entrants Pathways partnership with NFTS Scotland, giving new entrants the chance to meet established professionals and begin building their own networks.
Kicking off 2025, we hosted our New Year Social in January at The Social Hub – an informal, cross-department gathering for crew across productions. These events are more than just a good night out; they’re a space where future collaborations begin and strong working relationships take hold!
We’re committed to supporting the Scottish Film & TV workforce at every stage of their career, and our social events are just one way we do that.
