Introduction to Cleaner Power on Location
Friday 16 January 2026, 1000-1300, Parkhouse Business Centre, Glasgow
The way we use power on location is changing. New kit and smarter planning are enabling film and TV productions to reduce their environmental impact, often creating a nicer working environment and saving budget.
Join BAFTA albert, BECTU Vision and Culture for Climate Scotland to explore:
> What the choices are and what to consider for your shoot
> How to forecast and plan temporary power needs
> How to make the business case for change
> We’ll cover the basic knowledge and take a look at some kit in action.
The session will be led by Sustainability Consultant and clean power planning specialist, Steve Knight from Creative Zero.
Who is this session for?
This familiarisation session is for experienced crew, keen to understand the principles of cleaner power and power planning on location. It will particularly suit Location Managers, Unit Managers, Production Managers, Line Producers and Facilities Companies based in Scotland.
