Electrician Open Evening 2025

Join us for a free open evening hosted by BECTU Vision at Glasgow’s renowned lighting hire company, Panalux Lighting. Meet crew working in Scotland, see live demos of the kit used on sets, and learn more about the upcoming paid work programme for electricians on productions like River City in 2026.

Whether you’ve already decided to apply for our Electrician Conversion Traineeship or just want to find out more about working in Film & TV information first, this event is a great way to see what a career in Film & TV could look like for you and is open to anyone who is interested in working in the lighting department for film and TV now or in the future. Electrician Conversion Programme

We’re offering a paid Electrician Conversion Programme for qualified electricians who want to break into Film & TV. The selected applicant will receive on-set training, working with lighting departments on productions like River City in 2026. Find out more about the Programme and how to apply here.
