Launch Announcement: Emotional Wellbeing Support Resource for Film and TV

At BECTU Vision, we know first-hand how demanding the film and TV industry can be. Our team have worked in production ourselves, so we understand the long hours, high-pressure environments, and the toll they can take on emotional wellbeing.

That’s why we teamed up with Positive Psychologist Michelle White from 6ft From the Spotlight to create a helpful poster packed with actionable tools for building emotional resilience. It has been specifically tailored to the film and TV industry and the common challenges we face relating to emotional wellbeing.

The resource includes:

Simple but effective techniques such as controlled breathing exercises, methods to regulate emotional and physical stress, and tips to help boost positive emotions.

Want to support your emotional resilience or that of your peers?

Here are some actions you can take today:

Download the poster for personal use, or better yet, request a printed copy for your set so that the whole crew can benefit. It’s a small step that can make a big difference.

Sign up to our next Emotional Resilience course: This course, from our Freelance Foundations training programme, and the new Emotional Resilience resource are designed to go ‘hand in hand’. Register your interest here to be the first to know when new dates are announced.

Bookmark our Emotional Wellbeing Support Padlet to look back on again and again. We have collected a range of resources for those working in our industry to support their emotional wellbeing.
