New Entrants' Base
A free point of contact for both individuals and organisations who want to know more about the various roles in scripted film and television in Scotland. We offer short courses on many topics designed to help those at the earliest stages of their film and TV careers in Scotland. The BECTU Vision team also run monthly 1:1 advice sessions and supports new entrants in providing networking opportunities.
Skills Boost
Our Skills Boosts support existing crew looking to upskill in their department including Script Editors, Script Supervisors, Grips and Production teams and people including electricians and marine specialists to transfer their skills to the film and TV industry.
Producer Development Programme
Our Producer Development Programme provides funded support for those with the potential to become Scotland’s high-end Television Producers of the future by combining short course training, connections and networking opportunities.
