Job Sharing for Managers

This 3-hour workshop will share the tools to empower you as a manager to support and lead job-sharers by providing participants with:

– A better understanding of the skills required for active listening and respectful challenge to manage communication effectively between yourself as a manager and the job-share partnership.

– Insights & the inside track to equip you to deal with working with change and its impact on the team and the output and how to use these skills to manage a department working in a new and potentially unfamiliar way.

– How to give feedback to team members and get commitment to change should any issues arise with a job-share pairing working on your team.

 

This course is complimented by a lunch time drop in session which will focus on the mechanics of working as part of, or employing a job-share partnership. Find out more here.

 

Who is this course for?

This course is for film & TV managers based in Scotland who wish to better understand how to manage job-share partnerships now or in the future.

 

Tutor:

Hannah Corneck is a professional development consultant with over 30 years in unscripted production, 15 years experience working as an executive coach and a decade spent as a leadership trainer, people strategist and creative consultant working in screen and audio.

 

Eligibility:

This session is specifically for established film and television practitioners based in Scotland. Please only apply if you meet this criteria. BECTU opportunities for those in other areas of the UK can be found here: EnglandWales.

> Applicants should be based and working freelance in film and television in Scotland.

> Students are not eligible for this training.

 

Selection:

> As this is a workshop style course, there are a limited number of spaces available to allow participants the opportunity to interact and ask questions.

> Places will be given to those who demonstrate the greatest professional need for this training.

> If we receive more eligible applications than spaces available, we will endeavour to schedule additional training sessions at a later date (subject to funding).

> Places are provided free of charge but are worth a considerable amount. Please only apply if you can commit to attending the session.
